What Recs is. An independent guide to things to do in New York City — ticket lotteries, events, markets, TV tapings — with reminders by email. It is free to use.

What Recs is not. We don't sell tickets, run lotteries, or enter anything for you. Every entry happens on the official site of the organization that runs it. Recs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any show, producer, venue, ticketing platform, network, or market listed here; names appear only to identify the things themselves.

Accuracy. Listings are checked by hand against official sources, and detail pages show when we last checked. Rules, prices, schedules, and deadlines change without notice, and the official page always has the final word: if we say a window closes at 3 PM and the official page says otherwise, believe the official page — then tell us with “Report outdated info.”

No guarantees. Lotteries are lotteries. Nothing here improves odds, promises tickets, or guarantees an event happens as listed. The service is provided as-is, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed deadlines, losses, or decisions made on information found here. Plainly: we work hard to be right, and you should still double-check anything that matters to you.

Your account. Keep your email address accurate, and don't abuse the service — including scraping this site with automated tools; we extend official sources that courtesy and expect it in return. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Affiliate links. Some “buy tickets” links may earn Recs a commission at no cost to you. Two rules never bend: commissions never influence what we list or the order we list it in, and links for entering lotteries or reading official information are never affiliate links. Affiliate links are labeled as such.

Changes. We may update these terms; the date above moves when we do. Using Recs after a change means the updated terms apply.
